Leisurely pleasure
At home between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea Suggested programme (May - September)
In the Southern Alps, summer shows its surprisingly gentle side. The climate here is Mediterranean but moderate. The mountain scenery of the Carnic and the Gailtal Valley Alps is impressive and the summits are at your fingertips thanks to the crystal-clear air. The water of the lakes is of drinking water quality and reaches pleasant temperatures in the summer. But the mentality of the locals is also characterised by southern serenity. Thus, we have prepared a suitable programme for our leisurely guests:
Wulfenia, Frigga meal and lake adventure
Middle to end of June – depending on when the Wulfenia is in flower
(Alternative: guided walk along the Historic Mile at Nassfeld)
- Outside the time the Wulfenia flowers: Guided walk along the Historic Mile. A journey to the fascinating history of this border region. The Historic Mile leads from the national border to the Watschiger Alm and then back via the sulphur springs. The visitor learns about special botanical and geological features but also gets immersed in the long history of this region with the First World War as key point.
